House of Hackney was established in London in 2010 by husband- and -wife team Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley. Originally founded as an interiors label, the founder’s quest was ‘to take the beige out of interiors’ with an emphasis on quality, design and craftmanship.

After a decade of bland minimalism the brand captured the zeitgeist with its collections of British design prints and products that are steeped in tradition but are bold and subversive for a truly modern statement.

Today , House of Hackney has evolved into a successful British brand incorporating interiors, fashion and lifestyle divisions. House of Hackney has achieved cult status amongst its loyal customer-base of tastemakers, celebrities and interior designers and has become the British brand to go to for its iconic printed collections.

With an aesthetic influenced by English heritage, albeit with a thoroughly modern interpretation, it was paramount to the founder’s vision that British-made materials and manufacturing would be used, keeping production close to home and supporting small traditional industries and creating local employment.

With the new bathroom textiles and home accessories House of Hackney is going new ways: The British designer label now also includes chenille collections from the German established company and the world market leader Feiler in its product portfolio - for an exciting partnership between two unique brands that masterfully unite tradition and modernity. These collections are sold by Feiler all over the world and are also available in House of Hackney stores.
